At this point, who doesn’t wish they could work for Apple?! What’s interesting about this video is that we get a look inside the usually secretive Apple operations, heraing from real employees who share examples of how they collaborated to solve problems and become experts in new areas. “When you’re creating ‘lines around the building’ kind of products,” as one of the employees states, that’s a pretty special thing.
Twitter Recruiting Video
If ever there was a terrific example of not taking yourself too seriously, it’s in this Twitter mock recruiting video. Seriously, how cliche and hilarious is the arcade game, and the guy wearing the hoodie drinking out of the Twitter logo coffee cup? And the “join the flock today” ending? Definitely check this one out.
It was so hard to choose just one of Rapid7’s brilliant series of videos, but a Karate Kid montage was hard to beat. Besides just being creative and hysterical, they are clearly aimed at the throwback-loving generation of 30-somethings that it’s most likely looking to hire. While you don’t learn a whole lot about the company, you are so entertained that when the call to action to head over to the website appears, you just can’t help yourself.
What a cool office and good sports Zappos has working for them! Behind the silly video, you really get a look into the company’s culture, and see that they have a very diverse staff. Oh, and the video uses puppets, too.
In case you were thinking you had to use humor to have an effective branding video, here’s one that takes a more serious approach. Utilizing heavy fitness/sports imagery, this really crisp and professional looking video gets to the heart of what the Adidas brand is all about — being a part of a global family.
OK, back to the funny business. So how does a company that’s in the recruiting industry handle an employer branding video? They poke fun at themselves. “Are you ready to take a small step backwards to take a big leap forward?” “Ping pong!” “Work hard, play hard.” Well played, well played.
